I voted today, so please be nice to me...
I got my postal vote for the 3rd May National Assembly for Wales elections today, so dutifully I filled in my ballot slip and voted. It felt good to exercise my civic duty.
There were actually two ballots- one for the "first past the post" constituency election, and the additional regional list vote where you vote for the party, and the candidates are elected through proportional representation. The Regional List vote was where there was a lot of diversity- not only was the Communist Party represented, and several parties of the left, but next to parties like the Greens were two different Christian parties. The Christian People's Alliance and the Welsh Christian Party. Nice to know that the good Lord can't resolve every difference down here...
